Information on Star Parties at the Schmidt Observatory, Dennis-Yarmouth High School

THURSDAY SUMMER STARGAZING PARTIES FOR ALL HAVE BEGUN.

COME, SEE, AND ENJOY THE UNIVERSE!

Regular weekly summer Star Parties will take place on every Thursday of June, July, and August at 8:30pm (except for the first Thursday of each month when CCAS has its regular meetings). The public is invited.

If the weather looks "Iffy", please call the observatory after 7:45 (508-398-4765): no answer after 8 rings suggests cancellation because of clouds.

CCAS MEETINGS ON FIRST THURSDAYS:

All please feel welcome to come to our monthly meeting in the Library of Dennis-Yarmouth High School on the First Thursday of each month beginning at 7:30pm. See our website for information on finding the library. We have great speakers at all our meetings. Check the crawl banner on our home page to see information on upcoming speakers. If the membership wishes, sometimes the Dome will be opened for observing after the meeting on clear "First Thursday" evenings,.

REQUEST A SPECIAL STAR PARTY:

Now and then, Star Parties will be scheduled for specific groups requesting same. When this happens, if the organizers wish to make the event known to members of the society or the public, such events may be posted here.
